The Spirit is Moving...
We are in the midst of an historical gathering designed to discern and implement the Church's mission in the future. Approximately 464 representatives are in Rome for the Synod to discuss, reflect, and move forward. This gathering is groundbreaking in several ways, including:
Religious women have been invited to take part, including some who are voting delegates
Lay representatives are present
The people of God worldwide have been asked what they thought was needed to be the Church in the third millennium, based on the signs of the times
These religious women, lay men and women, bishops from around the world, and Pope Francis will be participating in the Synod on Synodality. Synodality is seeking the Holy Spirit to open horizons of hope for the fulfillment of the Church's mission.
