Winter Outreach
"As often as you did it for the least of these, you did it for me." Matthew 25:40
Winter Outreach Shelter is at St. Pius V again this year! We open Sunday nights when the temperature dips to 20 degrees, or 25 degrees w/ precipitation. First possible date is December 24th, yes Christmas Eve. Opportunities abound to help keep our brothers & sisters warm this winter. We need volunteers to set up the shelter, to work a few hours in the evening, to stay overnight, or to work a few hours on Monday morning for clean up. Help is also needed for providing meals & doing laundry.
Donations of the following items are also needed and greatly appreciated: used coats, hoodies, long pants, belts and warm shoes, in clean and good condition as well as new warm hats, extra large water resistant gloves, underwear, long underwear in sizes L to 3xl, leggings, scarves, travel size toiletries, razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, hand warmers, foot powder, lotion, food to go, and cash for supplies and heat.
